Welcome, and thank you for visiting our website.

First, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Thomas Cox, my wife's name is Ami, and we have two beautiful daughters. We live in East Texas and love the outdoors.   I am an avid hunter, and love chocolate labs.  It has been a lifelong passion of mine to raise quality labs for other avid hunters, and also for the dog lover that just wants a companion around the house. We currently have  Shelbi, she turned four on May 10, 2013.  Shelbi, of course, is a dark chocolate lab and comes from a long lineage of champions, from Amateur to National. You may view her pedigree under the Dam section of this site.  We also have Holly, a female pup from Shelbi's first litter.  She is a beautiful lab and also dark chocolate and she turned two in December 2012.  We plan to begin breeding her after we have her hips certified.

I am currently working on getting Shelbi ready to be hunt tested so I can continue the championship bloodline that started long ago. Shelbi is a very smart dog, likes to work and is learning how to follow hand signals and commands.  She definitely loves the water...pond or the swimming pool!  She enjoys getting out and playing with the girls while they ride their bikes, and coming into the house to lay down and relax with the family. She also is non-aggressive toward our cats. Now she will try to play with them from time to time but that is about it.
The name TAC's Golden Eyed Girl comes from Shelbi's eyes. TACs stands for mine and my wife's initials.  Shelbi's golden eyes and dark chocolate color are what first attracted us to her. My wife saw her and fell in love!  Even though the puppy was for me I knew I could not leave that day without her for several reasons one, my wife loved her and two, I was taken with those beautiful eyes and her disposition. Shelbi is my dog on paper, but there is an uncanny connection that she and my wife have.
