Thomas and Ami,
Penny is such a great dog... sweet, gentle, full of energy, happy, smart, beautiful, and a ton of fun. She loves to play fetch, tromp around in the water, go on long walks, and even has the patience to allow my 5 year old daughter to play dress-up with her. She is getting ready to start some obedience training, and I know she's going to do awesome. We could not have asked for a more perfect dog for our family! Thank you Thomas and Ami for breeding such wonderful Labs! Also, many thanks to you for being such great people to work with... you guys were always so friendly, answered so many of my questions, and were very helpful through the whole purchase process!

Thanks again!

Hey Thomas!
Thank you so much for checking in on Penny is such a wonderful dog. I can’t say enough good things about her! We thought she would be a bit bigger than she is, but it looks like she’s topped off around 65-70 lbs. She’s really tall though, and FAST! She outruns all of the dogs at the dog park and rarely tires out. She has become a very good “Mama” to our cat and hoping she’ll be having puppies of her own next winter. We had her hips x-rayed last month and the vet said they looked fantastic! We’re looking forward to taking her to the Colorado Mountains in a few weeks to play in the snow, I know she’ll love it... as well as the long car
ride (she LOVES the car!). I attached a couple pictures for you and I’m sure we’ll get some more great ones on our trip. How are Shelby and Holly doing? Any upcoming litters planned? Hope all is well!

Daisy not quite four months old she is sitting, staying, understands the commands down.  She also retrieves duck dummies on command, as well as being so incredibly sweet!  We expect to start her skills checks at 5 months.  She is not gun shy and has the most beautiful coat.

Thomas and Ami,
Bailey is doing well.  She is growing and learning very quickly.  WE have begun live bird training and she seems to have good pointing instincts.

Thomas,
Chewbacca (Chewie) is doing well and turns 4 months today (pics are at about three months).  He is a very smart, energetic, and well behaved dog.  He has already learned to sit, stay, come, crate, no, release, outside (rings the bell) and to fetch the field dummy and return to the hand (most of the time).  He is very smart and pics things up almost immediately.
Thanks!

This is Moss from Shelbi's second litter. He is 8 weeks old.

Moss got the bird with a little help I made him a little scent
trail to it but he uses his nose well and gets fired up over a dove. He also is
a heck of a swimmer he keeps all his feet underwater not slapping at it like
most people puppies do. I have really been amazed at how smart he is.

This is Cooper from Shelbi's second litter. He is 12 weeks old in this picture.

Cooper swam, retrieved bumpers and did great. So I tried him on a pheasant wing. WOW. I think he is going to be amazing. Just thought you would want to see. He's pointing just like a 12 week old should. I think I have a new hunting partner.

Hello,

I just wanted to give you an update on our dog,
Pecos.  Pecos is now 11 months old
and doing great. He is everything that we hoped that he would be, and he is
wonderful with our small children!
He is quick to learn and is a terrific family dog.
As you can see, Pecos is beautiful.  I think that he got the best qualities
of both Rusty and Shelbi.  He is
still pretty lean, but I’m sure that he will fill out more over the course of
the next year.  My husband has been
pretty cautiousnot to overfeed him because of the health problems that we had
with our last beloved chocolate lab in his final years.
Just wanted to say “thank you” for the awesome addition to our
family!

Thomas,
I cannot thank you and your family enough for providing me with an amazing dog, friend, and fellow hunter.  Jenny truly is an avid and natural Labrador.  She has a great temperament around other people, dogs, and in the
field.  She is now 20 weeks old in this picture and loves working for me.
She is very patient for commands, yet when she is released; it is a whole
new gear. Jenny is always focused, determined, and eager to get into the water.  She will begin field training in January with a local trainer, who has told me that he sees a natural instinct in her to be a great bird dog.
The best part about Jenny is that she is Texas bred and more importantly
East Texas bred, which just goes to show that great hunting dogs do come from Texas.  Thank you again for all of your help.

This is Tex.

I would say that he has exceeded my expectations in obedience and training up to this point. He receives attention everywhere we take him and sent your link to a couple different people who asked about his breeder. People think he will be really big, including the vet, even though he was one of the smaller males in your litter. Mom and Dad were not all that big from what I have seen so this remains a mystery.

Tex is doing well, we just weighed him yesterday at 78 pounds. He
still looks good and lean. He has a very good nose. My kids cannot hide a
dummy from him:) He retrieveda few dove this year but not as many as I had
hoped. Too hot opening weekendfor him and not enough dove in North Texas with the drought.

Tex has been a good dog and holding his weight at 79 pounds. He retrieved all of my ducks this yearand I had a good time with him. I actually have him entered in a hunt test on Sunday in Seagoville. He is doing the Started dog test.

Hi Thomas,
Here's a photo for you to use. "Pretty Boy" Chulo is on the left, looking a lot like papa and "Caliente" Callie is on the right looking a lot like her momma.  Both are incredibly smart and even tempered. The vet told me that they were perfect in their conformation. They are beautiful and intelligent dogs.  Thanks for checking with me. It's always nice to have a breeder that really
cares.

Remi is a very intelligent AKC Labrador! She is very spunky and
fun! She has shown her intelligence since she was a puppy. She would know to
"point" before us ever having to teach her! She learned all of the basic
commands within her first 2 weeks at our home! There is NO doubt that she passes
her intelligence down to her puppies. Her first litter had so many compliments
about how easy they were to potty train and field train! She comes from a long
line of Champions in her pedigree and it shows in her as well as her puppies!
